Time Trials May 17, 2008 It is time to get ready to compete! Time Trials is being held on Saturday, May 17th. It is a great way to start the season and get your times. Check in is at 7:00 am. Meet Sheets. For all the new Dolphins, the meet sheets are how we know if you will be participating in a meet or not. The coaches will actually enter your swimmers into their races but we need to know if you are going to attend a meet. Meet sheets are posted about two weeks before each meet. You will have about a week to make sure that you have signed your swimmer up for a meet. You will check the "Yes" box if you plan on attending the meet and the "No" box if you are unable to swim at the meet. We need to know the status of each swimmer so please be sure to sign the meet sheet form. If you need more information, please ask the board member on deck. Go Dolphins! Mandatory Parent Meeting On May 17th, at the LBD Time Trials, we will have a parent meeting after warm ups and before the start of the meet. It will start at approximately 8:00 am and run for 15 to 20 minutes.	Swimwear We are not changing team suits this year, but for new team swimmers or to replace last year's suit, you can expect to order these in early May. A rep from California Swim Shop will be on deck at DO May 5th and May 15th during swim practices. The rep will help you with sizing and ordering -- please bring your check books. Suit prices are the same as last year and range from $28 for the smallest suit to $47 for adult sizes. You can also contact the supplier directly: California Swim Shop, 7330 Fair Oaks Blvd. #7, Carmichael. The contact at the store is Mark Heimlich, 971-9836. Again, please mention your team affiliation. Need Fins? To improve both conditioning and technique our swimmers are requested to bring fins to practices this year and Coach Erik suggests 'float fins', a medium length closed heel fin. These can be purchased at many locations and it is important they fit properly. We have negotiated a special team discount at NorCal Swim Shop (Douglas and Sunrise in Roseville) and you can expect to pay around $17/pair and have their staff help you select the right size. Please mention your LBD team affiliation when you walk in. We encourage you to get your fins as quickly as possible as many area teams utilize them and local supplies may be limited. (NorCal has offered to order additional should stock-outs occur.) Swim Clinics Check out the All-American Swim Academy in Rocklin for their latest clinics.
